Spencer Ritchie represents clients in a variety of litigation matters in the D.C. Superior Court and D.C. Office of Administrative Hearings. His civil litigation practice is focused on contract disputes, Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA) matters, landlord-tenant disputes, eviction proceedings, and building code issues. He undertakes all aspects of the litigation process: fact investigation, development of case strategy, discovery, preparation and filing of dispositive motions, and more. Mr. Ritchie brings a systematic and inquiring approach to his practice and seeks to work closely with clients to solve problems in an efficient and thorough manner.
Prior to joining GDL, Mr. Ritchie served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Jason Park at the D.C. Superior Court. During law school, Mr. Ritchie assisted the defense team for a nationally prominent white-collar criminal prosecution in the Eastern District of Virginia and District of Columbia as a summer associate.
