Lindy Stevens represents clients in a variety of real estate related litigation in both the District of Columbia and Virginia. Her civil litigation practice is focused on general commercial and residential real estate matters, including landlord-tenant issues, eviction proceedings, Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA) matters and contract disputes. Ms. Stevens is responsible for all aspects of the litigation process, including fact investigation, development of case strategy, and preparation of legal filings.
Prior to joining GDL, Ms. Stevens completed a clerkship with the Honorable Jane Marum Roush of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Before attending law school, Ms. Stevens taught elementary school with Teach for America, a national organization of recent college graduates who commit two years to teach and promote educational equity in low-income schools across the U.S.
