Gwynne Booth represents and counsels clients in a variety of real estate related litigation. Ms. Booth is skilled at protecting creditors’ rights in civil litigation as well as bankruptcy proceedings. Ms. Booth’s civil litigation practice includes representing and guiding creditors through foreclosure proceedings, defense of consumer protection lawsuits, eviction proceedings, title defects prior to foreclosure, defense of mortgage fraud lawsuits, condemnation proceedings, code violations and environmental violations. Ms. Booth’s bankruptcy practice includes filing proofs of claim, litigating sophisticated objections to claims, filing motions for relief from the automatic stay, defending preference and other complex avoidance actions, reviewing debtors’ plans and otherwise advancing and protecting the interests of creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
Ms. Booth was awarded the Department of the Army’s “Certificate of Appreciation for Patriotic Civilian Service” which is given for distinguished civilian volunteer service. Ms. Booth received the award while serving as a leader in the Family Readiness Group (FRG) during a time of deployment for the 82nd Airborne Division’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team. Ms. Booth serves as an attorney ombudsman for the U.S. Department of Defense as a member of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), aiding reserve military personnel in the process of reclaiming their jobs when returning from deployments.
