GDL’s representation in the prosecution of real property tax assessment appeals in the District of Columbia is a significant part of the firm’s practice.
GDL attorneys assist clients in the analysis of the advisability of assessment appeals, work closely with property managers, appraisers, consultants (for example, environmental, engineering, and architectural, etc.) and owners (including corporate, partnership and other institutional owners) of land and buildings and promptly file and prosecute those appeals at all levels, including before the Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), the Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals, and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
