Biography: Born in Alameda, California, Mr. Wise is a founding Shareholder of Greenstein DeLorme & Luchs, P.C. Mr. Wise graduated from San Diego State College with honors in 1965 and received his law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1968. Mr. Wise was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 1970. He later became a member of the Bar of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of California, the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Wise spent almost three years on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, two of which were served as a Judge Advocate in Quantico, Virginia and in Okinawa, Japan. Thereafter, Mr. Wise remained in the Reserve until he retired in 1991 in the grade of Colonel.
Mr. Wise served as a Trial Attorney with the D.C. Office of the Corporation Counsel from 1972 to 1980, serving in sequence in the Law Enforcement, Civil and Special Assignments Divisions. Thereafter, Mr. Wise entered the private practice of law in the District of Columbia where his practice has included civil litigation and the representation of creditors in bankruptcy, foreclosure and enforcement of real property tax lien matters. He is a licensed title insurance agent in the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Mr. Wise was a Member of the Judicial Conference of the District of Columbia in 1982. He is a Member of the Section on Real Estate, Housing and Land Use and the Litigation Section of the D.C. Bar Association, a Member of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association, a Member of the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association, a Master member of the Congressman Walter Chandler American Inn of Court in Washington, D.C., Trustee of Fundacion de Tierra Preservada (Foundation of Preserved Land) and President of The Counsellors. |
