RESOURCEFUL ATTORNEYS, STRATEGIC THINKING

The attorneys at GDL are resourceful and strategic, and our diversity of knowledge and breadth of experience provide our clients with creative problem-solving that is proven, practical and result-driven.

GDL’s mission, which we have pursued with vigor since the founding of the firm in 1989, is to build personal relationships with our clients by listening to their needs and to respond by providing them with the highest quality legal representation, on a timely basis, in a professional manner, and for a reasonable fee.

GDL PEOPLE: EXPERIENCE, DILIGENCE, AND RESILIENCE

Nine attorneys from a then-existing D.C. firm formed GDL in 1989; those attorneys instilled in the firm a wealth of experience from private practice and from within local and federal government. GDL currently employs 15 attorneys (consisting of 11 Shareholders – with 3 of the founding attorneys still at GDL- 2 Of Counsel and 2 Associates), 1 paralegals and approximately 13 support staff.

GDL has built its reputation upon the diligent, high quality work of its staff. We are very proud to have many people working with us for over 10 or even 30 years, with some of the original staff members from 1989 still going strong.

WITH DIVERSITY COMES KNOWLEDGE AND POWER

GDL actively encourages the inclusion of, and expansion of the roles of, women and minorities within the firm on both a professional and staff level. GDL strongly believes that diversity encourages and strengthens a collegial environment in which individuals with different backgrounds can collaborate to better serve the needs of the client.

Our commitment to diversity includes ongoing efforts to identify, develop, and support programs and policies designed to attract, mentor and retain qualified and diverse individuals.
